Summer 2012 Activities

2012 Global Voices Summit Nairobi, Kenya July 2-3

One of two Authors selected to represent
RuNet Echo - a project dedicated to interpreting the
Russian language internet, I also served as a team leader of the
"More Music Coverage on GV" working group.

Musical Connections Publicist,Grant Researcher

Currently I serve as the Publicist/Grant Researcher for a non profit called
Musical Connections which is comprised of Soviet trained musicians who have emigrated to the Texas region.
Sergei Vaschenko was nominated for Grammy Awards in the world music category in '03 and '08 while his partner,
Zhenya Kolykhanov, graduated from the Tchaikovsky Music College in 1984.

Comparative Religious Study Christianity and Buddhism

Another priority over the summer will be to continue my religious education by engaging in an independent comparative religious study. Already having formal education in both the Anglican and Catholic traditions, this summer I'm doing independent reading on Buddhism in an effort to learn how Christianity and Buddhism relate - how they're compatible as well as where the faiths diverge.
